"My home is in the mountains south of Nederland Colorado. My love for horses and the west give me joy and inspiration for my paintings. When I am not in my studio working on a piece of western art or doing portraiture you will likely find me in a class studying Old Masters techniques or in a museum studying paintings, or teaching the art of painting in oils. I am a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists (www.asopa.com). In both 2002 and 2003 I participated in the Boulder National Art Show and took first place in the members show in both years. In 2002, my painting 'Laura' was honored with The People's Choice Award in the Louisville National Art Show and the same year my work was juried into the Englewood National Show. In 2003 my painting titled 'Ida' won Best of Show in the Gilpin Art Association National Show. Also in 2003 I had the honor of being featured in the Taos Society of Portrait Artists (TSoPA) Annual Portrait Exhibition and again in 2004 'Desiree' was exhibited at the Millicent Rogers Museum through August. In June my painting 'Summer Reflections' placed first in oils in the national show for 2004 in Gilpin County and in September 'In The Land of Sweets' was awarded 'People's Choice' at the Art of Estes Park Gallery National Show. I have been featured in The American Art Collector Magazine on three different occasions and most recently in Western Art Collector Magazine."
